Week 34
Your baby is the size of a bag of caramel corn.
Fun Fact!
You may be feeling pressure in your pelvis as baby settles further down, but you may be breathing easier, trade off.
Dos and Don'ts
  • Do eat smaller, more frequent meals
  • Don't take long car trips and airplane flights
What should you expect in Week 34?
  • Most babies are about 5 to 5-and-a-half pounds right about now, which means your little one is filling out quite nicely!
  • Additionally, as American Pregnancy reports, their nervous system is also continuing to develop and their lungs are nearly there!
  • And while it’s best that your body wait to go into labor between 38 and 40 weeks, your baby has a very high change of survival should they choose to enter the world now!
  • It’s during the 34th week that you are likely getting your final ducks in a row.
  • That includes getting your Group B Strep test done, scheduling your final pregnancy appointments scheduled, as well as your 6-week postpartum appointment scheduled!
  • You also probably already have figuring out best routes to the labor and delivery entrance of the hospital, and getting your pain management plan in order.
